The punk prayer is followed by a punk novella. Masha Alekhina recounts the stories of her performance in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the witch hunt that followed, imprisonment, the so-called »trial«, and prison camp. Special attention is paid to her struggle against the structures of humiliation in penal colony no. 28 of Berezniki, from where she was transferred to penal colony no. 2 of Nizhny Novgorod.
Masha Alekhina will present the book together with the translator Maria Rajer, speak about her work as an activist and grant an insight into the Pussy Riot Theatre project.
The event will take place in German, English and Russian.
