After several textual encounters with Donna Haraway over the past years and the screening of the Fabrizio Terranova’s film Storytelling for Earthly Survival, a group has constituted itself to explore future modes of engagement with issues related to Haraway’s thinking. Across the first meetings, this group has decided to focus on different ways and potentials of storytelling – blurring the supposed boundaries between theories of storytelling (from, for example, narrative anthropology or ficto-criticism) and (artistic, philosophical, political, etc.) practices of storytelling.

So far, we have read (and watched) work by Donna Haraway, Ursula K. LeGuin, Marylin Strathern, Anna Tsing, Emanuele Coccia, Jane Bennett, Kathryn Yusoff, Déborah Danowski and Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, Davi Kopenawa and Bruce Albert, Jeff Vandermeer, Alex Garland, Andrea Perino et al., Amanda Ackerman, Scott Gilbert, Rachel Carson, Véréna Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor, Epeli Hau’ofa, Paul D’Arcy, Cresantia Frances Koya Vakauta, Lingikoni Vakauta and Rosiana Lagi, the Out of the Woods Collective, Elizabeth Pollman, Annemarie Mol, Katherine McKittrick, Karen Barad, Denise Ferreira da Silva, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Black Quantum Futurism, Alexander Wendt, Alessandro Fergnani and Zhaoli Song, Oxana Timofeeva, Jasbir Puar, and Max Liboiron, and we decide together what to read next.

Meetings take place on Monday evenings, currently every three weeks.
