To escape the horrors of corporate Halloween, diffrakt will host a late-night special, co-organised by Erin Honeycutt and Elin McCready, centred around the night, ghosts, witches, poets, storytelling, spell-casting, listening, watching, and conspiring. We will listen to stories, immerse in sound, learn how to craft spells – and simply hang out.

As we’re still working on the programme, we’ll update the post on the website and Instagram as we go. Do stay tuned, and feel free to bring (short) ghost stories, embroidery projects or songs for what might become a late-night karaoke seance.

Spellcasting Workshop w/ Elin McCready
There are many ways of making and casting spells. On this night we explore one — a method of transmuting poems, staggering media and meanings, using tools from formal linguistics, building crystalline multidimensional structures — and use it to construct together a spell for Halloween, collectively cast it, and open some doors.
